Cheese and Olive Rolls

A very easy, and addictive nibble to serve with drinks

- 300 grams Ready Made Puff Pastry
For the filling
- 100 grams feta cheese, crumbled
- 75 grams green olives, strong and very finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon chilli pepper
- ½ teaspoon sumac
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg preferably freshly grated
Preheat the oven to 180 C [350F] gas mark 4. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper [NOTE 1]
In a bowl, mix together the filling ingredients with a fork
Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3 equal pieces.Along the long edge of one of the pieces, pile a third of the filling in a strip about 1cm [about 1/2 inch] wide, then roll the pastry and filling over to the opposite side, creating a long log. Repeat with the other two pieces of pastry and the remainder filling. Cut each log into 10 - 15 equal pieces Transfer them on to the baking tray, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 15 - 25 minutes or until golden.

I have made this recipe quite a few times, and I put the oven to 190C fan, for 12-15 minutes.
